Kamala Adhikari, is an
accomplished education advocate and leader. As the Chairperson of RHEST, an
organization dedicated to girls' education, she has played a pivotal role in
its growth and expansion throughout Nepal. With over 30 years
of experience in this field, she has dedicated her career to improving the
lives of young women through education. Mrs. Adhikari's passion for education
has led her to visit many rural areas of Nepal in her work with RHEST. Her
educational background includes a Master's degree in History from Tribhuwan
University in Kathmandu, Nepal and she also served as a lecturer at Padma Kanya
Campus, eventually becoming the Assistant Campus Chief. Her experience and
dedication make her a valuable asset to the education community in Nepal.
Ms. Jnawali, is an experienced
and accomplished independent consultant in the development sector. With a
proven track record of success, she possesses a variety of valuable skills
including proposal writing, experience with civil society, conflict resolution,
strategic planning, and community development. In addition to her professional
work, Ms. Jnawali is also dedicated to helping others reach their full
potential. She provides mentoring services to young graduates to help them with
their professional growth, and offers guidance to non-profits in institution
building. Furthermore, she is a health enthusiast and promotes healthy
living practices by coaching on lifestyle and mindful eating and even authored
books on healthy recipes. Ms. Jnawali has Master's Degree in Economics from
Tribhuwan University, Nepal and also received Professional Leadership course in
Health and Nutrition from United States of America under the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship and certification course in Peace and Conflict under Rotary Peace
Fellowship. Her diverse experience, knowledge and skills make her a valuable
asset to RHEST.
Sanubaba Ghimire is a seasoned and accomplished independent consultant
and Master Trainer in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Leadership and
Communication, Life Skills and Counselling, focusing on adolescents and young
people. She has over 30 years of experience working with numerous NGOs and
INGOs and has trained various population groups in over 60 districts of Nepal.
Sanubaba got connected with RHEST as a member of a partner NGO and later provided
her services as an independent trainer and counsellor to multiple programs at
RHEST. Sanubaba's educational background is in management and social sciences,
and she has gained valuable knowledge and experience through various training
and workshops throughout her career. She has been the Treasurer of RHEST for the
last seven years and is a valuable asset to the RHEST team.
Sudipa Dhungana joined RHEST as a
volunteer in 2007 and eventually became the Amar Manager. Currently, she is
a part of RHEST's board member as secretary. She has participated in several
training programs throughout India and Nepal. Her academic journey is just as
remarkable as her career pathway. She completed her Master's Degree in Business
Administration with special faculty in Human Resource Management from Tribhuvan
University in the year 2000. She
completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology and has worked as
a counselor in organizations, schools, and private sessions since 2020. She has
also contributed largely as a trainer, training Friday teachers in identifying
mental health illnesses in the community. Her efforts towards mental health
management have proven to be beneficial for students and employees of the
RHEST.
Ashok Bhurtyal worked with
non-governmental organizations for transforming war and violence into peace and
development, and protecting traditional health systems. He has managed health
and nutrition programs in Nepal's Ministry of Health and the World Health
Organization. Currently, he teaches courses in international health at Tribhuvan
University's Institute of Medicine. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree
in public health.
In addition to his work in public
health, Ashok has been engaged in conserving nature, securing sustainable
livelihoods of Tibetan communities living in the highlands of Nepal and
documenting their interaction with the natural environment.
Krishna Laxmi Maharjan is a dedicated member of RHEST. As an Amar alum,
she has firsthand experience of the positive impact that RHEST's efforts can
have on individuals and communities. Ms. Maharjan has also given back to the
organization by volunteering her time and supporting various activities. In
addition to her involvement with RHEST, she is also a skilled architect,
currently employed as architect in project office of Urban Development and
Building Construction, Babarmahal, Kathmandu. She served as an architect at the
National Reconstruction Authority for five years. Ms. Maharjan is also
leading Aakash Ganga Saving and Credit
Co-operative Ltd, Harisiddhi, Lalitpur as the Chairperson. Her personal
connection to the mission of RHEST and professional expertise make her a
valuable asset to the organization and the community it serves.
